The Los Angeles Police Department was involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit Monday, June 15 in South Los Angeles and led to a violent crash. Officials state the pursuit began around 10:30 PM and ended shortly near Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw neighborhood after crashing into a palm tree. According to LAPD Official Drake Madison, two females were identified in the stolen vehicle. One female appeared to be in her 20’s and was found unconscious with difficulty breathing when transported to the hospital. The second female’s condition involved in the stolen vehicle is unknown.
Elder Zacarias was an innocent victim in the violent crash after the stolen vehicle ran a red light and struck his SUV leaving severe front damage. Elder and his passenger appear to be okay.
The intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and Marton Ave. were closed for several hours for investigation. The two females involved in the pursuit were taken into custody.
