The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was involved in a pursuit Wednesday night, June 24, of a SUV with 6 individuals inside. It has been reported that most of the six inside the SUV were juveniles. The SUV lost control on the 1200 block of Avenue S near a mobile park home and struck a woman (a resident of the mobile park home) when the vehicle crashed into the cinder block wall.
Witnesses said this happened before 8pm when they heard the crash happen near their home. One witness, Jenny, stated she heard a male screaming “no,no,no” and “I think she’s gone.”
The juvenile driver inside the SUV was arrested and the others were detained as they are under investigation. Detectives are also looking into whether the group was involved in other criminal activity before the pursuit.
