Just before 3 a.m. today, at Orange Avenue and Brookehurst Street, a hit-and-run crash was reported by the Anaheim Police. A black KIA Soul was leaving a hookah lounge when it was hit by a white Mercedes-Benz. The two vehicles burst into flames upon impact leaving 3 men, the driver, and passengers, of the KIA Soul dead on the scene. The two women from the Mercedes-Benz left the vehicle and ran away.
A witness who rushed to help, stated that the driver of the Mercedes may have been racing and that the victims were believed to be an Uber driver and two passengers. Anaheim Police is still investigating the details.
Sgt. Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police said that they put out a call to the nearby hospitals in search of the two female suspects and later found them being treated for the injuries sustained consistently with the crash. The driver of the Mercedes will be charged with felony hit-and-run.
