April 8, 2020: Earlier today, a motorcyclist collided with an SUV along Interstate 10 Freeway in Alhambra. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports, the motorcyclist was travelling at high speeds before the crash and was found several feet away from his motorcycle after.
The motorcyclist sustained severe injuries and died at the scene, despite the police and paramedics’ quick response and efforts to help the motorcyclist.
Los Angeles traffic has been much lighter these days since the government’s stay-at-home order. Unfortunately, this also increases incidents of motorcyclists and drivers speeding, especially on major roadways.
Even though there are more cars on the road, and they are involved in more accidents and injuries, motorcyclists face more serious injuries and fatalities. They don’t have the protection that cars have.
